As reported by the Federal Reserve, consumers in America have $13.3 trillion dollars in debt outstanding and counting.
The clock below shows the amount of debt that consumers are accepting to maintain their lifestyle. BeatingDebt.org plans on updating this clock as information becomes available.
As recently reported for the first quarter 2011, citizens made great decisions and shed 2.0% of the nation's personal debt. So, the clock is slowly going backwards!
